Breakfast /Lunch Specials

Champions, the Corner Cafe', Silver Tavern, and Tracy's Breakfast Only will be running breakfast/lunch specials.

11:00 - 2:00: Soup luncheon

Sponsored by the Deckerville United Methodist Women at the Deckerville Community Center. Take outs available, including homemade bread and pies.

11:00 - 4:00: Doll and Teddy Bear Collectors Show

Calling all doll and teddy bear collectors. Bring them in to display at the Deckerville Community Center. Contact Elaine at Flowers by Kevin, 367-4600.

11:00 - 11:45: Reading with Mrs. Claus

Mrs. Claus reads and leads sing-a-long at TLC Used Books/Blower Antiques.

11:45 - 12:15: Santa Arrives

DHS Band plays at four corners; Santa arrives on fire engine and lights the Christmas tree. Tree decorations by the school art students of Louise Jensen.

12:30 - 3:00: Photos with Santa Claus

Have your picture taken with Santa at TLC Used Books/Blower Antiques: coloring and crafts while waiting; cookies provided by Deckerville League of Women.

11:00 - early evening: Angel Walk

Luminaries will be on display in the Community Center until set out on the sidewalk

Create your own luminaries in loving memory of a family member or friend during the Christmas season; luminaries available at Eastern Michigan Bank, Flowers by Kevin, and Mainstreet Memories; suggested donation of $5.00 per bag with the proceeds going to the Deckerville Historical Society.

3:00: Announcement of contest winners

Home Decorating Contest:

Sponsored by Mainstreet Memories; dead line is mid-night Friday, December 11, 2009; no need to register.

Business Snowman Decorating Contest:

Sponsored by Dickens of a Christmas Committee; no need to register.

Business Christmas Tree Decorating Contest:

Sponsored by DCDC; many of the trees will have decorations made by the Deckerville Elementary School Classes; it is a penny a vote at local businesses; contact Lyn at Ameriprise Financial, 376-4710.

3:15: Angel Walk Memorial Prayer Service

We will have Christmas caroling and a community memorial prayer service.
